Pension Grunwald is a solid choice for travelers: the rooms are very clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfasts plentiful. The area is quiet, though there are almost no restaurants nearby. We came with a dog, paid extra for it, and were immediately surprised at the front desk with a notice that if the dog slept on the bed we’d be fined 100 EUR. Our dog slept on the floor, yet we felt a bit uneasy throughout our stay because of that warning. Dogs were also barred from the lawn in front of the pension. I understand the high hygiene standards, but if dogs are allowed at any point, the owners should not feel constantly restricted. I would have liked that info beforehand.
