“It is a beautiful Heritage property in an absolute perfect location but needs to renovate the rooms from inside, provide”
Location, location, location!!! The food was good and the staff were courteous. However, the room was not clean, there were cockroaches, the bed squeaked, and the toilet seat was broken.
“Say NO to Le Chateau”
Location. Our stay at Le Château was honestly one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had in Pondicherry. For ₹5500 per night, we expected at least basic cleanliness and decent service, but unfortunately, it was far from that. The room itself did not feel clean, and the toilet was very unhygienic and smelled bad throughout our stay. What shocked us the most was finding a used toothbrush kept back inside a sealed dental kit cover, something we never expected to see in a hotel. There were no towels in the room when we checked in, and even after asking multiple times, nobody brought them. The complimentary breakfast was also very poor. The bread and croissants seemed old and stale, and the only fresh item we could actually see was the upma. Overall, the experience completely spoiled the stay for us. Pondicherry has so many better places to stay, and I would genuinely recommend choosing another property instead of this one.

“Not worth the price at all”
The front desk staff were helpful and attentive, and even the security personnel were very helpful. The food was pathetic, and cleanliness was literally nonexistent. The bathroom in the food court area smelled like a public toilet, the wash basin was inside the bathroom, and the food area was littered with tissues and leftover food from the previous day. The place was very dirty, food waste was not collected on time, and the taste and quality of the food were also really bad. The rooms had no ventilation, were suffocating, had no AC remotes, the phone signal was absent, and the Wi‑Fi was not great.

The hotel itself looked like it could use a serious spruce-up – the common areas were cluttered and the furniture was worn. Even the washrooms were basic, with just the essentials provided.
