I'm kicking myself for not doing my research before booking this place – I thought Dal Gate and Dal Lake were the same thing, but it turns out they're not. Still, the hotel itself was great, with friendly staff and a lovely room. The only downside was the bed, which was a bit of a letdown. As we didn't eat at the hotel, I can't comment on the food, but we did expect a bit more of a Kashmiri vibe, especially considering the prices.

This hotel's location near Dal Lake is definitely a plus, and the fact that it has its own parking is a bonus. However, the views from the property are pretty underwhelming, and to be honest, it feels more like a guesthouse than a hotel. Still, it's a decent place to stay if you're looking for something simple and convenient.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was a bit of a disappointment. The location is okay, but the property itself doesn't have much to offer in terms of views or amenities. It's basically just a place to crash, and not even a particularly comfortable one at that.
