I really enjoyed my stay; the price was cheaper than many other hotels in Meiringen and the service was friendly and helpful, overall a very good value for money.

“Gunstig gelegen hotel, maar sfeerloos en enigszins shabby.”

The location is good, close to the station, but the place was a bit shabby overall; check‑in was only possible at 5 am, causing a line, the restaurant was closed, and breakfast was not available.

“Avoid this hotel at all costs! It does not reflect typical Swiss business standards!”

I was very disappointed with the service at this hotel! We booked a triple room but were handed a double instead, and after a long discussion they set up a very uncomfortable folding extra bed in the small double room; they refused to refund the price difference between the triple room we paid for and the smaller double we received, which lacked a proper bed. At check‑in I paid extra for parking and the tourist tax, and later found out I had been overcharged by 50 CHF; the manager that evening refunded the 50 Euros in cash without offering an apology. I disliked everything about it; aside from the location, it is very hard to find anything I actually liked!
