Lodge Parayso -Tambopata

The land along the river was beautiful. I arrived late at night, and it was hard to find the hotel because the name on the booking site didn’t match the road sign, which reads Tambopata, not Parayso anywhere. I had booked two rooms, one for me and one for my friend, but when we arrived after driving quite far they only had one room available. I discovered the shower handle was broken, so I couldn’t shower at night. I told the staff in the morning and they apologized and planned to fix it. The pillows on the bed were thick, bumpy, and uncomfortable. Breakfast that morning was not good, but I was just waking up when the staff came to wake me at 8 am to eat.

“Peaceful if you want to relax by the river, and a bit in need of repair”

The property is beautiful and, being outside town, it’s mostly quiet. The host was kind and helpful. However, the shower was broken, the pillows were very uncomfortable and lumpy. I had booked two rooms, but upon arrival there was only one available. The breakfast was not good.
