Everything was perfect: the location, the environment, the cleanliness both inside and out, the selective recycling for a good cause, the hanging garden, the guéckos that kept me company with soft music every evening, and the hosts’ friendliness and effort to communicate despite the language barrier, not to mention the owner’s generosity and helpful advice about places to visit, scooter rentals, and the beach.

I stayed here at the end of January 2026 and had only positive impressions; it’s not a hostel as we usually think of it but a guest house with separate, isolated apartments that have all the comforts: hot water always, air conditioning, a fridge, a wardrobe, a comfortable double bed, and, most importantly, plenty of space inside the apartment; cleaning and linen changes happen daily; the owner Min and his family live on the premises, are always friendly and smiling, and any request is handled immediately; the grounds are full of hanging pots with orchids—beautiful! Google shows the path to Ong Lang beach as 1.5 km, but riding a bike (better to rent one from Min) takes 5 minutes, and walking takes 20 minutes (realistically!); on the other side, 700 m away, there’s a supermarket and the “foreigners” street with many cafés, restaurants, and massage salons—all on site. I’ll definitely come back—Min knows!

I booked a room and the owner texted me a few days ahead to confirm my arrival time, and everything seemed fine; the day before check‑in he texted: “Cancel your reservation, your room is occupied.” I had to scramble for a new place to stay the night before check‑in, which is practically impossible, so be careful.

The room, the location, and the owner were all excellent, and there was nothing to complain about.

A super friendly host, the place sits on the road but the room and house are tucked behind a lovely garden, quiet and perfect for sleeping; though a scooter is needed to reach the beach and restaurants.
