This hotel features a hot tub, 32-inch flat-screen cable TVs with HBO, and iPod docking stations in each room. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, refrigerators, coffee facilities, laundry facilities, and vending machines, along with proximity to the Gibson Retail Shop & Factory and historic Court Square Park.

The spot was great for our plans, and walking to nearby spots worked well. The bed was large, and the restaurant food was tasty. Lighting was fine even though a few bulbs were out. The staff were friendly. The room itself needed an update; we couldn't adjust the air conditioning—it stayed at one temperature and fan speed. The shower water was a mess: cold water turned hot and hot water turned cold for a minute, so we weren't sure we had hot water. The bed was hard, there was no microwave, no continental breakfast, and the air‑conditioner door fell off. Mirrors were only in the bathroom, and the room could have used a deep clean. The sofa and rug also needed attention.

The room smelled like mildew and was extremely damp; I had to bring my own tissues. When we left, we noticed the box was literally damp, confirming the unpleasant odor that couldn't be removed. It wasn’t the cleanest either. For over $260 a night we expected far better. Next time we’re back in Downtown Memphis, we’ll look elsewhere. The staff were friendly, but you’re better off spending your money elsewhere.
