We got a great deal in Lucerne, just a few minutes' walk from the Pilatus railway, and free parking made our road trip hassle‑free; the room and shared spaces were clean and well kept. Because the living room is shared with two other rooms, we arrived late and tried to keep the noise down for the other guests. The common area had a fridge, kettle, and other handy items, though the lighting controls were confusing and we weren’t sure if the lights were on a timer. The bed was a bit narrow, and opening the windows for fresh air sometimes let insects in.
