The breakfast was decent. The cleanliness and the old‑fashioned state of the premises were disappointing.

We fell in love with our stay at Gisèle’s place. The setting is gorgeous and charming, right in the wild Hazel valley above the Bruche valley. The guest room is lovely and very quiet. Gisèle’s local breakfast is outstanding, and she’s a fantastic host—reachable, welcoming, and gives excellent advice on hikes and nearby restaurants! Everything was perfect.

The location is very quiet at night, and the natural room stays cool even during the heatwave. Parking is convenient. The downside is that the property sits on a road, so early‑morning motorbike and car traffic can be noisy. The sheets have a raised pattern that leaves marks on the face. The shower towels feel very rough. One of the rooms is adjacent to the pony stable… Luckily we’re not allergic to horse hair, and no prior notice was given.

The breakfast is artisanal and beautifully presented in their lovely garden. Children were less enthusiastic about the breakfast, but cornflakes are always a winner :-)
