This season, other hotels in Takasaki were expensive. Here was cheap. Anyway, it's far from the station!

The place had a nice, slightly retro vibe, which I liked. I could hear the neighbor’s chatter, so you might need to watch your voice level a bit.

There was nothing that stood out positively. The room only had a shower, no bathtub as I had expected, and the surrounding area was inconvenient; dinner required a fairly long walk. The lodging and breakfast were adequate, though.
