The hotel's location is unbeatable – it's literally right across the street from the stunning Kintai Bridge.
The views from across the street in the Springtime are simply stunning.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were incredibly polite.
The food here is seriously amazing - dinner and breakfast were both incredibly tasty, with a real focus on local ingredients and traditional Yamaguchi dishes.

“岩国城下の街並み、錦帯橋、行ってみる価値あり。”
It sits right in front of the Kintai Bridge, and the meals that incorporated local cuisine were outstanding. The downside was that the women’s restroom had a lot of Japanese‑style toilets.
“Een geweldige plek om je dag te eindigen en te beginnen 😉”
I stayed in a riverside room, which was a definite plus. The onsens were amazing, especially the outdoor pool. The food was very good and the service deserved a 5‑star rating. The décor felt a bit dated but still had character and was clean.
“露天風呂でとてもリフレッシュ出来ました。”
The room was spotless and gave a strong sense of cleanliness. From the window I could admire the illuminated Kintai Bridge, which was an amazing view that left me thrilled. The staff were courteous and attentive. However, when I returned to the room after being out, I noticed a faint, slightly musty smell—probably coming from the air‑conditioner vent.
“まあまあ”
Despite being an older building, the hotel is well maintained and its proximity to the Kintai Bridge is a plus. The only drawback was that the escalator was out of service.
The old‑school onsen hotel was unpretentious and the futon was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on—truly lovely. From the hot pool you could see the Kintaikyo bridge, which added a nice bonus to the view.
