The staff are amazing—when I was ill they handed me tea and free medicine, truly a host; plus everything on the east bank is within walking distance, saving on Uber and driver costs.

This hostel serves as a friendly, solid base for exploring Luxor; the team running it are excellent and know the city well, offering great value for money, though don’t expect five‑star décor.

The facility sits in a central spot and offers exceptional value; if you’re after a very cheap stay, I definitely recommend it, but keep expectations modest. The staff are wonderful and eager to help, especially Ali, who was on night duty during my stay and even woke me up when I mentioned my early bus. The only issue was that the shower had low water pressure and felt only slightly warm even in cold weather, a problem I noticed at other places too; otherwise everything was fine.
