The parking is free, the room is large, and the staff are helpful. The bathroom and shower are separate from the room, the layout is cramped, and many areas clearly need renovation.

The spot was great, but the room was tiny and the furniture looked like it was about to fall apart. They promised a private bathroom, yet there was none—just a shared one in the hallway. I was woken up by mosquitoes all night, and the windows rattled from the wind outside. When someone turned on the hallway lights, the glare shot straight into my room and everything was so loud. Still, I haven’t had a worse night yet.

The hostel had a cool historic feel and was clean. The front‑desk guy was friendly, shared a lot about Ostrava, and even offered breakfast because the listing said we’d get a private bathroom. Turns out that was a lie—there was no private bath, just a shared one in the hallway. The mattresses were awful, so we left after one night. The breakfast offer fell flat; he told us to eat at 8:00 even though we asked for 9:00, and it wasn’t ready until 9:15. We ended up grabbing food elsewhere.
