I appreciate decorative art, and the kitchen was beautiful and I loved it. The décor was lovely and the bathroom was clean. My room was on the second floor and felt a bit small for a deluxe; I’d have liked more space. The freezer needed cleaning, and someone had used the air fryer and didn’t clean it.

Nothing really stood out. The property was poorly located, dirty, and lacked proper fire safety. The windows were cracked and filthy. The shared kitchen was okay but had a boiler leak. The bedding was dirty with hairs and no cleaner was available to change it, so I had to sleep on a blanket I brought.

The Wi‑Fi worked well. The shower had good pressure and hot water. It was easy to reach staff at the provided number for help. The room was dirty, with dust, dirt, hair on many surfaces, the floor, and a cigarette on the floor. Both room and bathroom had a slight smell. A large stain was on the chair cushion. Check‑in instructions only gave a front‑door code, so I had to call the contact number to get the room code. The stairs were narrow and steep, making it a bit hard to carry luggage.

The location was convenient for town. Rooms were clean and comfortable enough, with coffee and water supplied. Rooms were secured by passcodes from other residents staying in the property, and the décor was fun. Getting into the property was not easy. It wasn’t clear that we would share the property with other people – two rooms were occupied by strangers, and trying to enter a bedroom was met with an angry knock from a resident late at night. Rooms had individual codes that weren’t given beforehand, so we had to call an out‑of‑hours number that didn’t answer. Then we tried an emergency contact at midnight to get the codes, which were eventually provided after 20 minutes of trying to enter rooms after arrival. This caused distress, as one guest was diabetic and needed to use the bathroom urgently. One window on the top‑floor bedroom was locked and we couldn’t find a key to open it, which was extremely unpleasant in heatwave temperatures. A large security camera in the kitchen filmed us, feeling like a privacy breach. Overall, I wouldn’t have booked had I known we’d be sharing the property with other residents, and I won’t book again because the owners seem ill‑prepared to give guests correct details before arrival.
