The positive was Shakeel, who was genuinely lovely and very helpful. He organised a trip for us and we really appreciated his efforts. Also the breakfast was included. Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was very disappointing and nowhere near what was advertised. The biggest issue was the window in our room didn’t close properly, which felt genuinely unsafe. If someone leaned against it, you could easily imagine someone falling out, i nearly did and it was the 2nd floor. On top of that, because it wouldn’t shut, the room was cold and the noise from outside was unbearable. We spoke to reception to see if anything could be done, but we were told there was nothing they could do. No alternative room was offered, and despite the cold, there were no extra blankets. Sleep was almost impossible. The hotel is advertised in reviews as “quiet” and “serene” but I honestly don’t understand how, because it’s located right in the centre of a very busy bazaar. The noise continued until around 3am, and then started again around 6am. The room itself was extremely basic, and even the kettle didn’t work, which is a simple thing that should be checked before guests arrive. While this isn’t directly the hotel’s fault, it’s worth mentioning that right outside we were offered drugs, and the surrounding area did not feel safe, with a lot of begging and activity outside at night. People should be aware that the location is not as safe or calm as it may seem online. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it, mainly due to the unsafe window, lack of comfort, and extremely noisy location. I really think the hotel should be honest with reviews as some people would want right in the centre of such busy streets but others dont
