The house sits nicely in the heart of San Pedro de Atacama, and the décor is pleasant, especially the patio which we found to be one of the most beautiful parts of the house. However, our stay was marred by a severe issue: relentless nighttime noise from a bar right next to the hostel, with loud music and club‑style sounds that continued until the early hours. The noise level made it practically impossible to sleep or rest normally; even wearing headphones with music didn’t help. This problem persisted throughout our stay, severely disrupting our rest. The owner acknowledged the issue, explained he had tried to resolve it by speaking with the bar’s management and even filing a complaint with the city council, but without success. While the owner isn’t the source of the noise, the effect on guests is the same: you can’t sleep while the music and loud club sounds keep going into the morning. The situation became so unbearable that on the last night we left the hostel and paid for another hotel just to sleep. Additionally, the room felt somewhat cold; although it had an electric radiator, the bathroom had no heating system, so it was especially chilly. Future guests, especially those needing quiet and silence to sleep, should be aware of this before booking.
