The family‑run guesthouse was a real gem – warm hosts, a tasty breakfast, and a tidy room with a private toilet. It ticked all my boxes and I’d happily recommend it. The spot is right between Innsbruck, Kufstein, Achensee and the Krimmler Waterfalls, and the neighboring Gasthaus Knapp offers a nice beer garden for dinner.

A solid base for exploring the area, and the host was friendly. The downside was the nearby road and train that can get loud, plus no mosquito net so nights were bug‑infested.
