The entrance to this hotel is really beautiful, but that's about where the positives end. The parking situation is a disaster, the rooms aren't always clean, the design is pretty poor, and sometimes the amenities just don't work.

Maxwell Del Mar is in an awesome spot, close to some really popular spots and beautiful beaches. That said, we had some trouble getting a table at the restaurant and there was a lot of noise from kids' activities nearby.

I liked staying here because it's right near the beach, and the staff were really friendly. However, I did think the room cleaning service was a bit lacking - I had to ask a few times for fresh towels and stuff. Still, it was a good location.

This hotel's got a great location, but we had some issues with the front desk - it seemed like they were always short-staffed or something. Still, it was a solid place to stay.
