The hotel's location was its only redeeming quality, as everything else fell short of my expectations.
The staff, particularly Monica, were incredibly accommodating, thoughtful, and kind.
The hotel's old-world charm and elegant design only added to my experience, making it a truly unforgettable stay.
The hotel's exceptional cleanliness and prime location in the heart of Noto's historic district made it an ideal choice.

“Great location and historical building”
The place is in a fantastic spot right beside the cathedral.
“Iconic location in Noto with special history and great staff”
The hotel’s spot is legendary, and the family that ran it had a huge impact on the city—though I didn’t notice that until I stayed. It’s truly iconic and one of a kind, and I’m glad I booked it. The staff, especially Monica, were super friendly and helpful in the restaurant. The room’s furniture is very basic; a few upgrades like better bedside cabinets and nicer lamps would improve it, but it did the job for me.
“Da evitare”
The central location was convenient, but the walls had holes, paint was peeling, the furniture didn’t feel four‑star, the fridge was noisy, the Duomo’s bells rang every 15 minutes, and the breakfast was sparse with discount‑store items.
“Da ripetere sicuramente”
The staff’s kindness and willingness to help, combined with the building’s beauty that, thanks to its history, transports you back in time.
“A historic building and location in Noto with absolutely superb staff ! Will come back again !💕”
I had planned to stay in a city‑center hotel near cafés and other attractions, but when I arrived in Noto, I was shocked to find the hotel right next to the magnificent San Nicolo cathedral. The building itself is steeped in history, linked to a Nobel‑winning family, and I felt lucky to discover it. Monica, the receptionist, and the restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making the visit even better. On the last day, a friend joined me and we booked a suite facing the Town Hall and main square for an extra fee, which was worth it. The room’s furniture is basic and tasteless, but it served its purpose, and I’d stay again.
