We consider this resort to be merely average, deserving only a 1‑star rating. We booked last minute, and this was one of the few options available, so we had limited choices. From the moment we booked, we repeatedly asked the resort for more information, but it was hard to get a reply. Eventually someone from the resort answered and simply told us we could take either the Cataferry or Bluewater Ferry. That was about all the help we got before we arrived. On arrival day, Hasiff from the resort picked us up; he was kind and we appreciated his help. Beyond that, the overall service and communication were disappointing. One night we asked if staff could take us to a nearby restaurant because it was raining heavily, and we were refused. We then asked if we could borrow or rent one of their motorcycles, but that was denied too. On 29 August, we approached the elderly staff member with glasses who was on duty; Hasiff even asked him on our behalf, but the answer was still no. This is simply not how you treat your guests. We were not asking for anything unreasonable—we were just looking for basic assistance from the resort, especially given the weather. It honestly felt like they would rather have their guests walk in the rain than offer even the bare minimum of assistance. As for the room, the facilities are definitely dated and could use some updating. However, to be fair, the air conditioning worked well and the shower had good water pressure, so those were at least positives. What I find even more surprising is reading the many reviews saying that guests had an amazing experience here, with the owner going out of their way to help and accommodate guests. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at all.
