The hotel’s location let me park my car in the off‑street lot and walk to everything I needed in Auckland, but there was a strong cigarette smell in the hallway and the pillows were under‑stuffed. The bed was worn and the mattress springs had seen better days.

Its location is fabulous and by far the cheapest in the area; if you just want a cheap bed in a great spot it’s great, but it’s pretty tired and feels more like a nice hostel.
