I liked the spot, just a short walk to the centre, a lovely view of the River Taff, and a quick stroll to the river bus for Cardiff Bay; Bute Park was right on the doorstep. The only downside was the lack of complimentary toiletries, otherwise there were no complaints.

The view from the room was great and the room itself was very spacious. The toilet was very dirty.

The room was lovely, with free coffee and a private little shower, and most sights were within easy walking distance. The Wi‑Fi was terrible; I had to sit on the floor by my door to get any signal, and it kept dropping out every 5 minutes. They offered me a different room, which I appreciated, but I was in a rush and didn’t have time to switch. If they offer you the top floor, refuse it! The walls were paper‑thin, so I could hear every word of the couple next door as they complained about the Wi‑Fi all night. The check‑in process felt sketchy; they asked me to enter my bank details on an online platform, which made me uneasy. Check‑in was unusually late and check‑out unusually early. It’s the cheapest place I could find in Cardiff, but it’s still expensive for what you get.

The place is in a good spot, but the shower didn’t drain, the toilet was basically broken, the carpet in our room smelled awful, and the room was tiny and stuffy.
