Structurally, the lodging is solid: the room is large, clean and well maintained. The covered internal parking is very convenient and the surrounding garden is pleasant. It’s definitely a strategic spot for anyone wanting to visit nearby Giverny. (Note for travelers with pets: the dog surcharge is €10.00) The reception management and overall atmosphere made the stay decidedly uncomfortable. From the first contact (a rather flat refusal of a post‑dinner check‑in request) and throughout the stay, the feeling was never that of a vacationer but of a monitored guest in strangers’ home. Strict instructions on what “YOU CANNOT DO” and prohibition signs scattered even in the room made the setting truly suffocating. It’s a type of informal hospitality full of barriers that you might expect on other platforms, but far from the standard you look for when booking a stay.
