I asked if a 4‑poster bed was available, and they promised to try; they managed to put us in that room. Breakfast offered a good selection of food, all really nice. Dinner was delicious, featuring a new menu and cocktails, so we sampled a main, dessert, and some mocktails—all very good. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

We chose this hotel while driving to the coast and arrived within 30 minutes of booking; it was a busy bank holiday Saturday and we made it in time for dinner. The team responded immediately: I received a phone call within 5 minutes of booking, the room was ready, and a dinner reservation was secured. The food was typical pub standard and reasonably priced. The building is old and understandably difficult to maintain, but the interior is tired and tatty in places. Behind the scenes, the corridors were hard to navigate with little signage and potential trip hazards.

Easy access to Yeovil High Street. The building is nice and old but clean and modern. No negatives.
