The setting high up in the mountains was amazing. A little off‑roading was something I loved. Inside, a cozy fireplace let me unwind with a glass of red wine while enjoying the spectacular view. Nothing to add.

The views were amazing and the hot tub was nice. Be ready to travel 15 km from the gate to the farmhouse to pick up the keys, and then another 14 km to the Berghuis—an extra 90 minutes of travel we didn’t negotiate. The space is very nice but a bit tight given everything that’s been crammed in there.

The remote cottage was very charming with a beautiful Karoo setting, fully equipped for a pleasant stay. It was neat and tidy. We enjoyed the boma and splash pool to cool down after a nice hike.

The mountain house delivered pure Karoo charm—endless vistas, stargazing that felt magical, clearly marked trails, and a soothing hot tub; it’s the ideal spot to recharge, thanks to Julia and Gert for their top‑level hospitality.
