“Incumplimiento total, quedamos tirados y tuvimos que buscar un alojamiento alternativo”

I would like to say the accommodation was fine, but that’s impossible because we couldn’t access it due to the host’s non‑appearance. The host gave no sign of life upon arrival, did not provide instructions, did not respond to messages, did not answer the phone marked as contact, or anything else; I was left with my daughter, without accommodation, and had to find an alternative. I wish everyone who books this place the best of luck and hope they don’t experience what we did. The owners, whatever they are, gave no sign of life, not even to offer an apology. I hope that on your next trip as clients you see yourself in the same situation we did and appreciate the grace of suffering the situation they happily provoke. Finally, special thanks to Booking and their agent, who was the only one who cared about the situation, handled the cancellation and refund, and requested the apologies that in pure terms only belong to the absolute lack of professionalism of the host. If you can avoid booking this place, you’re better off.

The room was spacious, giving plenty of room for my belongings, and the kitchen was large and well-stocked. There was only one shared bathroom, but it was adequately sized. The only downside was that my room was moved the day before arrival to a building that didn't allow hostels; the new location wasn't as good as the original but still acceptable. The door to the street had a flaw and was hard to open.

The stay was nice.

Located right in the historic center of Madrid, the room had a climate control system. However, the walls were very thin, so we heard a lot of noise: other guests coming in late, using the bathroom next to our room, and even showering at 3 am. We also heard snoring from the neighboring room and an early morning alarm that woke us. The walls showed construction marks and some yellowish stains, quite noticeable. The room had no windows, so we had to keep the lights on all the time. In the shared kitchen, the fridge space was very limited—we only had half a shelf for our food. Additionally, the oven didn't work, which is a pity for guests who want to cook.

“En verano es un mal lugar para hospedarse”

The location is very good. The room has no climate control, so I wouldn't recommend booking in summer; it's a full sauna and a fan isn't enough—really, in summer it's horrible and you can't tolerate staying there for a night because of the unbearable heat.
