Sea Breeze Inn beach rentals

The location was really good—close to the beach and the restaurants are not far by car. The establishment was very quiet and clean. We received a larger room than we had booked, which was a pleasant surprise from the owner. The room’s air conditioning worked well. The mattress and bedding were very uncomfortable. The shower was outdated and the water pressure was weak. The place could use a little refurbishment. We checked in by phone, and we never saw the owner during the three days we stayed, which felt a bit odd.

The house is only a short walk from the beach, but there are no restaurants or shops nearby, which left us disappointed. The property itself was in an unacceptable condition: a musty smell, old furniture, and items left outside the veranda. The running water in the room didn’t work, and the owner, who lives in Boston, was only reachable by phone. Access required a code and a key safe, and we were able to cancel the booking just before the deadline.

The room was clean except for a phone that fell under the bed and wasn’t swept up. The entire property, including the office area, was cluttered with antiques and junk, and the lawn had a foot‑tall weed growth. The shower had problems, no communication from anyone, and I never received checkout instructions.
