The real pain was the trip to the lodge – the drive is a nightmare, and once there, there’s no internet, no entertainment, just a walk in the rain. A bit of infrastructure would help – maybe a Starlink setup or cable TV, and a clearer trail to the hidden second lake. Still, the food and the vibe made it worth the effort.

For anyone wanting a nature retreat, this place is spot‑on and the food is amazing. A small tweak would be to put up signs or a trail map to the second, hidden lake on the property, and the billiard table could use a bit more space so you don’t hit the glass or wall.
