“Bad circumstances, not their fault entirely.”

The price was reasonable, the room seemed decent for the cost, and the location was good. We had been driving for 8 hours before checking in. The staff didn’t mention that there was no water. When we entered the room, I used the toilet once and then there was no water at all. I went back to the office and asked about it. The staff said, “oh yeah, we should’ve told you they’re fixing a broken pipe, and water should be back soon.” I returned to the room and we waited half an hour while trying to cool it with the air conditioning to little avail. I went back to the office, asked if they had any idea how long it would take to get water and they couldn’t say. I told him he should have informed us at check‑in about the water situation and that we were not willing to risk an extended outage and that we would like to check out. He was actually quite gracious about it and helped me figure out how to cancel the reservation on Booking. We moved to another hotel that had water, and their AC worked better. It cost more, but it was worth every dime.

If you plan to bring a boat, parking will feel very tight and there isn’t much room to maneuver.

The place is right off the highway, in a lovely little town, and the price was reasonable.
