We decided to travel to Georgia, specifically Kutaisi, with my family. While searching for hotels in Kutaisi, my eyes landed on the "Light house" hotel because its offered services matched our needs: breakfast, airport transfer, and the option to book tours to attractions. Positive reviews also encouraged us to stay there. We arranged for the host, Zaza, to pick us up from the airport. Our flight to Georgia was delayed, yet Zaza waited for us the whole time. When we met him and headed to his house, he greeted us warmly and showed us his homemade cognac, a traditional drink. Over the next days we booked tours; Zaza drove us in his car, and the tour prices were very reasonable compared to other private companies. He took us to places where tourists were scarce or absent, which was a big advantage. While traveling through impressive sites, waterfalls, mountains, and near crocodiles, old churches, and fortresses, Zaza introduced us to Georgian culture, traditions, and lifestyle. Traveling together was a wonderful adventure because Zaza had a good sense of humor, so we laughed a lot and had a great time. We felt as if we had known Zaza for a long time; he was like an old good friend. Staying at his home made us feel at home. His wife prepared delicious and hearty breakfasts. One evening we asked Zaza to cook dinner for us; he grilled shashliks, his wife baked chachapuri, and prepared traditional dishes. The food was perfect. After spending several days with Zaza, it was hard to leave. We said goodbye to his family as if they were our own. When Zaza drove us to the airport, we said goodbye for a long time; it was difficult to part.
