If you want a nature escape close to home, this place is spot on—great location, the landlady is super friendly and helpful, everything stays spotless and tidy. I’d definitely come back.

“Very pleasant and helpful host. Lovely setting, pleasant stay other than the hot water issue.”

We didn’t get breakfast, but the room was roomy and the setting gorgeous. Parking was safe, and the room came with a gown, hairdryer, plenty of cupboard space, crockery & cutlery, an air fryer, toiletries, and more—everything was very clean. On the downside, the bathroom lacked a blind or curtain; we could see in from outside, so it wasn’t private. The shower didn’t heat up, so we couldn’t bathe. The driveway at night was very dark, and there was a steep drop on the valley side that made us uneasy.

“Relaxing place with caring owner.”

I felt welcomed like family and was treated with genuine kindness. The place works best if you have a car, but I still booked daily tours that picked me up at the house. Zyta helped me out when I needed to shop. The bed was huge and comfortable, hot water was plentiful, and the gardens and birdsong were lovely.

The hotel's garden was a real highlight – it was so peaceful and beautifully maintained. The room itself was comfortable, with a great big bed that I slept really well in. The bathroom was lovely, too – clean and modern with all the essentials. The only thing that let it down was the noise from the nearby road, which was a bit of a shame.

This place is a real gem – it's so secluded and quiet, you feel like you're a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The hosts are super friendly, too, and made me feel right at home. The surrounding nature is beautiful, with loads of wildlife and stunning views. Honestly, I couldn't fault it.
