“A serene oasis with space to relax”

We were pleasantly surprised! We were a bit nervous about the bus and walking with our bags, but it was totally worth it. Away from the crowds further south (especially on a long weekend in early autumn), we enjoyed friendly local restaurants and saw everything we wanted using the Hakone Free Pass. The new, spacious rooms are well appointed, and we were thrilled to have a washer/dryer in the middle of our stay. Sipping coffee while looking at the back garden was a highlight. We wish we could have stayed longer. We chose an Uber instead of lugging our bags back to the bus stop at checkout.

The room was spotless and immaculate, and for that price it was perfect. I was very satisfied. The only thing to watch out for is the narrow road; large cars need to be careful.

The location is very friendly and quiet, and the apartment was well-equipped and modern. I can only recommend it!

The facilities themselves were clean, I think. Unlike the Rakuten Stay Villa, I had to enter and exit through two separate doors with passwords at the entrance and inside, which was a hassle. The futon wasn’t very good and wasn’t fluffy; the pillows were the same. Also, there was no kitchen equipment, so I had to bring my own food or eat out. The strict no-fire rule was a bit inconvenient.

The completely unmanned check‑in and check‑out worked smoothly thanks to the pre‑arrival email instructions. The room’s amenities and services showed a thoughtful hospitality. The highlight was being able to enjoy a lovely garden view. My family of four were satisfied with the space and facilities. When we arrived, a musty smell in the hallway bothered me. I wondered if the hallway and toilet ventilation were inadequate. During our stay, keeping the toilet and bathroom vents on helped; if airflow in the hallway could be improved, it would be even better.
