Only a short walk away from the Schmittenhöhe cable car, Der Waldhof enjoys a quiet location above Zell am See and offers free WiFi. Guests benefit from a spa area and during winter the possibility to ski-in and ski-out. The new 1000m² spa area has separate areas for families and adults only as well as an all year round indoor pool which can be used free of charge. The property also offers an outdoor children´s playground and 2 indoor playing rooms. During summer months guided walks, wine tasting take place once a week free of charge and winter you can enjoy an apres-ski snack in the afternoon free of charge when booking with a half-board. All rooms at Hotel Der Waldhof have a balcony, cable TV, a minibar, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Der Waldhof has a ski and bicycle rental on site, ski passes can be bought here as well and ski classes can be booked at reception. It also offers free private parking. The city centre is 500 metres away.

The hotel is very close to the city center and has a beautiful wellness area that’s included in the stay. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a wide selection. The hotel has everything you need and there’s a parking lot nearby.

Everything was basically great – the service, the atmosphere, the supplies… I’ll definitely recommend them. The only small drawback is that a cold‑water pool in the sauna area would be nice. In the bar on the right back, the red seats have been removed; they’re no longer attractive and now they smell really bad.

The room was spacious, very cozy, and tastefully furnished; I especially liked the modern bathroom. Everything was clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was extensive with a great variety—perfect for starting the day. The location is excellent: a bus stop is right nearby, making Zell am See and the surrounding area easily accessible. The pool and the lovely wellness area were also highlights, ideal for relaxing after a day out. Overall, a very pleasant stay—I felt right at home at Waldhof and would gladly return!

The rooms are fantastic, impeccably clean, and the spa area is huge. Thanks to Lucia in the breakfast area for her friendly attitude. The pool is enormous. The only issue is that after ringing the bell twice because no one is at the reception, a staff member says, “From the third time you ring, you’ll be charged a liter for the house!”
