Quality Inn & Suites Caseyville - St Louis

The room had a really large bed, which was great since I had to share it with my son, and there was a free ice machine. Breakfast had a decent selection, and the staff were friendly. However, the breakfast didn’t feel like real food—what they called sausages weren’t proper sausages, the eggs seemed made from some powder, and the apple juice was empty. The staircases smelled awful; they were nasty, likely because the filters hadn’t been changed in a long time or the cleaning product used was terrible.

The sheets had a strong urine odor and a cockroach was found in the bathroom; I had to take a second shower in the morning to wash that off. Getting in touch with the manager was a major hassle.

“This was overall an enjoyable stay!”

The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was nice. The pool area was clean and well maintained. The hotel feels a bit dated, and the shower in my room needed an upgrade; it took a minute for the hot water to start.

“Wet and unclean”

There was absolutely nothing good about this stay, it was the worst hotel experience ever. The entire property was dingy with a faint cigarette smell, the elevators were sketchy, and the room smelled of mildew and was extremely humid because the window was screwed shut, so I stayed damp all night. The shower was clogged with hair and looked unclean, and the mini‑fridge had empty drink bottles, indicating it wasn’t checked or cleaned.

The price was very reasonable. The room itself was clean and smelled good, and I liked the shampoo, conditioner, and shower lotion that were provided. Overall, for the price it was well worth it, and the free breakfast was a nice bonus.
