The train station and bus stops were nearby, as were a shopping centre and local shops. For the price, there wasn’t much more you could ask for. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom did its job. A couple of minor issues: the shower curtain was loose and the shower support was broken, so I couldn’t leave the shower running.

The towel was dirty, the sheets were dirty, the bed was unmade, trash lay on the floor, and the bin was overflowing – overall a disappointing stay.

The place was spacious and comfortable. It had a fridge, a TV, a small wardrobe and a microwave, which we used to heat food from Saintsbury's. The shower (very small) and the toilet were in separate rooms. There was a shared kitchen for all rooms, which we didn’t use, but it had all the utensils needed for cooking and eating. The garden was a bit neglected, with overgrown plants; with a little care it could become a nice space. The room furniture could also be arranged differently to make the room feel larger and more comfortable.

Being on the ground floor, I could access the back garden. The room was a decent size with TV, kettle and a microwave, and there were plenty of sockets to charge my phone and laptop. The toilet and shower were in separate rooms. Check‑in was straightforward, and I would stay there again. There was nothing in particular to complain about.

Wi‑Fi was available, small but essential. The cleanliness, bathroom and shower were lacking.
