Located in the picturesque Brandenburg town of Liebenberg, north of Berlin, Schloss und Gut Liebenberg is a historic castle estate surrounded by forests and lakes. This tranquil retreat offers a serene escape for relaxation, conferences, or exploration of Liebenberg, with scenic walks inspired by Theodor Fontane's famous Löwenberger Land area.

The property is very nice and well-maintained, with a quiet setting ideal for relaxing. Unfortunately, there are no lounge chairs left in the park; only a few wooden benches remain, which makes reading and relaxing less pleasant. The evening buffet was unimaginative and tasteless, far from worth the 28 € price tag.

The service was outstanding, breakfast was excellent, the restaurant looked great and the prices were very reasonable, and the reception staff were very dedicated.

We stumbled upon Schloss Liebenberg as a quiet escape from the city, and it turned out to be a real hidden gem. When the bus missed us, the front desk team immediately arranged a taxi for us, and the moment we arrived it felt like pure relaxation. I spent the afternoon strolling the grounds, spotting deer, foxes, frogs, and squirrels along the lake walks. The dinner was tasty—especially the soup, which I’d recommend. Breakfast was stocked for late arrivals from 9:30 am onward, and the coffee was served right after we took our seats, a nice touch. The rooms were roomy and spotless. Since the building is old, there’s no AC, but a high‑quality oscillating fan fixed that. Everyone on the property was friendly and welcoming, and a special shoutout to Hans and Juan at Gutshofladen Liebenberg, the two very friendly and helpful owners who clearly love what they do. Thanks for a lovely stay; we’ll be back! The only downside was that dinner service was a bit slow, but we weren’t in a hurry, and I asked for a bathtub room but got a shower instead—nothing major.
