“Diferenciado!”
Ribeiro did everything he could to make our stay amazing. We were welcomed warmly and felt at home all the time. He handled breakfast, offered a microwave – even a bain‑maria – to thaw our vegan meal prep. The vibe is great, the rooms are roomy and comfy, there’s a pool, and it’s right on the river. Ademir, who lives next to the lodge, runs a boat service to the dry mangrove at a super affordable price and is very friendly. The place also rents kayaks for river use. A wonderful spot.

Everything was spot‑on, and the staff were genuinely friendly, making me feel welcome right away. I’d happily come back.
Nothing good. The staff were utterly unprepared. I had a horrible experience and felt cheated because they incorrectly charged me for two nights. The bank even reached out to me over the suspicious transaction. The service was terrible, with rude and dishonest employees. Breakfast, which was advertised as included, was not offered. The room’s fan was broken and there was no soap in the bathroom. The pool was dirty and lacked proper hygiene. The place urgently needs to improve service, cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort. Note that I was the only guest at the lodge during my stay, with no one else around. That explains why things went so poorly.

They asked us to switch to a different room type, saying the other one wouldn’t have a hot shower; when we switched, the new room’s shower was broken. The lodge doesn’t mention in the listing that it charges extra for basic items like air conditioning (I’ve never seen that and found it absurd) and breakfast (it would be fine if they warned in the ad). The lodge advertises that it’s in Mangue Seco, but it isn’t – it’s actually on the Pontal, before the boat crossing to Mangue Seco.
