The beds were comfy and the meals were solid, but the room felt cramped with only a small spot for my laptop and no proper seating. On Monday afternoon, the terrace was missing umbrellas, and the lounge in the lobby was a bit dim. Still, the overall vibe was pleasant.

The hotel sits on a quiet lake and the breakfast has a killer view. It’s a sweet spot for a trip to Mauricie National Park, and the staff are friendly and the rooms are cozy. We were a bit thrown off by the two restaurants – a pricey 8‑course place in the main building and a separate a‑la‑carte spot in the annex – and the lack of an elevator means it’s not great for people with mobility issues.

The lake view is stunning and the room is gorgeous and well‑decorated. You can just step down to the water to use the boats and paddles. The restaurant is great.

Nice spot, friendly staff, comfy room, and a view that takes your breath away. The only downside? No TV, but the scenery more than makes up for it.
