This hidden gem is a small boutique hotel behind the Magani and only a 5‑minute walk to the beach. The beds are generally quite hard in Bali, but this one was just right. The shower pressure is amazing, the rooms are exceptionally clean, and the staff are super friendly and helpful—nothing is a problem. I stayed in the ground‑floor room 108.

The Mahata was fully renovated a few years back and stays in great shape; the rooms feel fresh, spotless, and cozy. The restaurant offers a wide selection of tasty dishes that are very reasonably priced and kept impeccably clean. Ferli and the rest of the staff, along with security, were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the visit a pleasure. The pool, however, is quite small and the deck chair supply is limited; removing some bench seats could create more space for chairs, and adding more would be fantastic. Road noise is noticeable, so choosing a room toward the back helps; also, when the hotel is busy, a dedicated pool‑bar waiter would improve service since the current waiter often serves at the front bar.

The staff were very helpful and the location is convenient. I would have liked outdoor seating from my room, which isn’t available, but there are chairs around the pool, so that was acceptable.
