The infrastructure is very good. The hotel is new, the rooms are clean. The food is very good but not enough Spanish for my taste; there are too many international options to satisfy the clientele.

The place was a great resort, well kept, attractive, and someone was always tidying up, mopping floors, etc. We booked a Premier‑Suite with kettle and minibar and received a standard Premier‑Apartment that also had a kitchenette. Block 4 was quiet and not right by the pool, which we really liked. The first five days the resort wasn’t fully booked, which was very relaxing. The key card is on the wristband, which is handy and also color‑codes the different meal plans. Most guests had the gold All‑In wristband, our purple Half‑Board wristband was the exception. We parked on the street above the hotel, where there are plenty of free parking bays. During our trip we found a spot every day. The resort was mainly booked by English‑speaking guests; German voices were almost unheard. Breakfast offered a wide variety for all tastes, and if you can’t find something you’re on your own. From day six the resort was noticeably fuller and we were sometimes late for breakfast. Then you could see that the staff lagged a bit with refilling plates, cutlery, milk; if you waited a moment they would refill. Overall we felt very comfortable and didn’t regret the booking. The “issues” that followed didn’t bother us much, but they help others who value them more. As a Half‑Board guest it’s normal that you pay for drinks at dinner. I know that it’s usually written on the room number and you pay at the end. When we asked on the first evening it said to pay immediately with card. On day four we were asked whether to pay on the room or immediately? Apparently not everyone on staff is informed. We’re fine with paying immediately, but the handling was inconsistent. Sometimes the card reader appeared right with the drinks, sometimes a bit later, sometimes we had to ask actively. The beds were a bit too firm, not unbearably hard, but not soft enough for a good night’s sleep. The kettle in the room was rusted and unusable. We managed by heating water on the stove. Two days after arrival an email asked how we were finding it so far. I mentioned the rusted kettle, but it didn’t get replaced. Twice a brief smell came from the drain, but it faded. It wasn’t a constant problem. Occasionally a few tiny ants crawled over the kitchenette, which I just squashed. Dinner was “interesting”. It wasn’t bad – definitely not. There was a large selection of starters, main dishes, fruit, and the usual little cake desserts and ice cream. However, I personally missed sauces or dips for certain items. For example, you could fill pita bread with meat pieces, but there was no dressing to make it juicier. Only twice during our week were the typical Canary potatoes served, but no mojo rojo or verde. A lot was mislabeled. You never knew what you were eating; it was obviously wrong. Labeling the jams would also be a great idea. Allergic people have a hard time figuring out what they should avoid. The signs in three languages seemed thrown into a pot and then randomly distributed. This has been complained about in earlier reviews for months. Such an easily fixable flaw, why isn’t anything done?

Overall the hotel was clean and spacious, our room had a kitchenette and nice terrace, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast offered a good range of options and there were plenty of highchairs. The splash pool was great for little ones. Getting to the beach was easy using the free shuttle the hotel provides. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was slightly dark; more natural light would have been nice. I would have liked breakfast and the gym to open earlier, especially since we had a toddler with us. We didn’t make it to the mini‑disco because it was too late for our toddler, so an earlier option would be nice. More information about the hotel and surrounding areas would have been helpful.

We arrived and received a free upgrade to a swim‑up room. The staff were all amazing. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. We had a fantastic time.
