I loved the bathroom products—shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were amazing! The train track outside is very noisy and right next to the hotel.

I paid for a king room but was told that because I have dogs I needed a different "upgraded" room for an extra 20 a night on top of the dog fee; the bed was maybe a full sized bed and the heater had to run all night to keep it warm, there was so much condensation that it was dripping off things. I only stayed one night and left early in the morning before check‑out, asking for a refund for the second night, but was told no refund and that I would never return.

The front desk staff were friendly, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to save our stay. My daughter had booked a room, but when she arrived with her kids, the staff wouldn't let them stay, even though we'd paid in advance. We ended up having to find another place for them to stay, which was a real hassle.

The Red Lion hotel had some nice touches, like an ice machine that saved my day. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was a letdown. The room was stuck in the past, with outdated decor that felt like a step back for the chain. The stairs were in a sorry state, and the noise from the passing trains was relentless. To top it off, they took advantage of Memorial Day weekend by jacking up their prices.
