Zinc Old Town Hostel

Renate is an amazing host who greets you warmly, spoils you with excellent coffee and her homemade apple jam made from her own orchard. Coffee, creamer, cereal, tea are always available. The kitchen is fully equipped with a blender, espresso machine, kettle, microwave, toaster, grill, air fryer, citrus juicer… everything you need. I stayed just one night, but I’d gladly return for a longer visit. The bathrooms are spotless, and the toilet even has a window – fantastic! Despite the stairs and no elevator, Renate carried my luggage up to the room; I’m truly grateful.

“Sehr empfehlenswert.”

Top location in the old town, 5–10 minutes on foot to the tram, line 4 goes straight to the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped for self‑service, with free coffee and tea. A refill option for the water bottle is common in other countries, but unfortunately it’s not available here.

“Shady people live there”

The place is well located and the facilities are clean, that’s the main thing. However, it feels unsafe because shady people are allowed to stay, and the entrance looks like a horror house. The old man at reception always seemed angry, but Renata was the only friendly face. The 50‑euro deposit policy is odd: they require your physical debit card and manually charge it, refusing credit cards, debit or cash. I’m fine with a deposit, but handing over a physical card was uncomfortable. The hostel is in a central area, so it gets noisy at night; earplugs help. I’ll never stay here again.

“満足”

立地が旧市街のど真ん中で観光しやすい キッチンがとても広く、キッチン用品も十分そろっている。冷蔵庫あり。 無料バスタオルあり。 部屋も圧迫感なく、快適。 鍵付きロッカーあり。. トイレの数が部屋数に対して少ないと思う。
