A room that was very beautiful and quiet, far from the city bustle, perfect for recharging. The welcome was very warm, and the homemade meals were excellent with local products.

“An idyllic little gîte on a beautiful farm with great hosts”

We were driving across France and needed a place to stay, and this farmhouse turned out to be a wonderful find! The family who lives there has turned an old farm building into a beautiful stone cottage with a single bedroom and bathroom, built with high‑quality stone and wood that rivals a luxury hotel room. Inside there’s a small dining table, and outside on the deck you can sit with a view of the valley—truly heavenly. The proprietor’s mother welcomed us and showed us where to park. The entrance is through a woodshed, so it’s a bit hard to locate because you can’t see the front door. We had booked dinner for an extra fee, so the lovely lady cooked us local, home‑grown food on the balcony. The Auvergne area is gorgeous, and I’d love to return and stay longer. It was a real treat and everything was perfect.
