Good spot if you want to feel lost somewhere on the Mediterranean coast. It has a typical Croatian “beach” (concrete platforms over rocks) with turquoise, crystal‑clear water. They offer a taxi‑boat service to take you to and from the only riverside restaurant opposite, located 2 minutes away (very expensive, run by a peculiar gentleman…). It’s extremely isolated from everything and the short access from the main road becomes heavy if you want to go to and from the nearby villages… Rooms that don’t face the sea have no charm at all and are too small.

Beautiful quiet place, amazing garden, clean sea, pleasant staff. The bed was very uncomfortable, you feel the springs, we had to use a blanket to pad it, the bed tilts to one side… The shower head drips, the cookware is very limited, only one pan that should be replaced, a pasta strainer would be nice, a kettle for heating water for coffee, etc. The dining table is only on the balcony, and every meal you have to dodge wasps. If the accommodation were more comfortable, it would be a great stay.

The scenery is beautiful, and the beach at Pokrivenik is just an 8‑minute drive away, a perfect natural spot. The villages of Jelsa, Vrboska, and Stari Grad are gorgeous and worth a visit; each has its own charm. In Stari Grad, you must stop by “Kod Barba Luke” – the food there is fantastic! The apartment itself is decent: plenty of TV channels, two lovely balconies, and a comfortable bed. Across the street from the bay is a restaurant that offers free transport and excellent food. However, the island roads give you a headache, and the path to the property is gravel; the area in front of the building needs tidying up, and there are a million mosquitoes in front of the apartment – not ideal for allergy sufferers. The apartment has two nice bathrooms, but one set of doors won’t close because they’re swollen, and the shower door in the other doesn’t fit all the way, which I only noticed too late and caused a small flood in the bathroom. In the kitchen there’s only a tiny bowl for chocolate or kids’ snacks or a salad portion; there’s no way to add more, and there’s no kettle or small knives. We only had breakfast, so it was fine, but for families who cook, the kitchen supplies are definitely too limited.
