The host was very welcoming, giving guests a comfortable and relaxed experience in Xiao Liuqiu, a very local and warm hotel worth returning to. Located near the convenient ferry terminal, there are many famous restaurants nearby, easy to reach on foot or by bike.

Walking distance from the ferry terminal was convenient. Our arrival details were sorted via text message, and we were able to check in to our room a bit early. Our hosts arranged an affordable and fun snorkeling excursion for our group; the outfitter met us at the hotel, and we followed him to their equipment location and snorkeling site on electric scooters. The property has a swimming pool with a slide! We liked the big wooden table in the lobby for eating snacks and playing board games in the evening. Very comfortable beds and clean linens/towels. The staff speaks English and Chinese, which makes communication easier. There were complimentary drinks in the room fridge. Shampoo and body wash canisters in the shower. We prepay online using a credit card. We liked having a hot/cold water dispenser in the lobby area, as well as some candy and twisted dough snacks. Perhaps having a bowl of fresh fruit (bananas, tangerines, apples) in the lobby would be nice in the afternoons.

The room was spacious, with a pool, good water quality and privacy. The location was great; within a 10‑minute walk you could reach the pier, the liveliest street, Vase Rock, Meizhou Beach, and Lobster Cave, convenient for someone who doesn't know or dare to ride a bike. The owner introduced a driver, Mr. Chen, who was sincere, reasonably priced, and worked hard to show me the island's sights and take me to see sunsets, starry skies, and the Milky Way, giving me wonderful memories. I will come back to Xiao Liuqiu and stay at Tai Mei again and ask Mr. Chen for help with sights. The owner also recommended the Italian pasta across the street, which was good.

The owner was very enthusiastic, the accommodation was very quiet and not too far from the pier. When we arrived, because the next day there would be more guests, the owner worried about disturbing us and upgraded us to a 4‑person room.
