The place is in a superb spot and feels authentically Italian, but the rooms could use a touch‑up and better soundproofing because you can hear people talking at normal volumes through the walls.

The hotel sits right by the forest and close to the cable car, it’s exceptional and well preserved, and you can imagine how wonderful it must have been during its heyday. Because it’s an old building, it isn’t sound‑isolated, so you hear people in the neighboring rooms or above, doors slam, toilet flushes, and creaking floors.
