Staff were friendly and helpful, which made a good impression, but I was forced to switch rooms partway through my stay, which was a bit inconvenient.

This place feels like a design‑forward hideaway, just a ten‑minute taxi ride from Guangzhou South station and a quick train hop to Hong Kong, with the city center only 25 minutes away. I stayed in room 1313, which opened onto a hill trail and a balcony with a huge soaking tub overlooking the infinity pool and fire pit; the bathroom was stocked with Melbourne‑made Grown Alchemist toiletries and stayed warm even when the temperature dropped to 9 °C.
