We were double‑booked and only found out on the morning of departure when we were told by email that we’d be moved to another house (the mill). They offered us the upper floor of the same house where we’d stayed on the ground floor the previous days—apparently the site had been hacked? The upper part was much nicer, with fresh air and a view outside, and the washing machine was very handy, complete with detergent, clothespins and a drying line. You need a car; the nearest supermarket is a 1‑hour walk each way, but if you’re okay with quiet and cows around it’s fine if you have transport. A taxi from the airport costs €15. The house is two stories for 10 people; we had the ground‑floor unit with 4 people and one bedroom upstairs. The lower part of the house is dark and the cupboards smell musty. The cutlery has rust spots and the pans have a layer of mold, probably from salty water and sea air. The rest of the items—tostadora, iron, etc.—were not cleaned after use. The kettle didn’t work, so we used the one from the upper unit. It was unclear which phone number to call for help, but after a quick call they clarified when they would arrive. On the second day, six other tourists were added to the property: two stayed on the ground floor with us, and four stayed upstairs. It was odd that we weren’t initially allowed to stay on the ground floor so the upper floor could be used for the other six, but everything eventually worked out and they all slept there.
