A quiet area ideal for bike and walking trips. The town feels like a well‑maintained Sicilian village.
“Aspettative non rispettate. Da migliorare .”
The location: very close to the main square of Canicattini where the biggest summer events take place. Private parking in the courtyard is convenient. The room is very large with air conditioning. The price is fair. The breakfast did not meet my tastes and choices. A croissant was undercooked and a tart, some juice in the fridge. The bathroom definitely needs improvement: it’s the first time in Italy I’ve not found a bidet. The shower is very narrow with a curtain that blocked the corners of the box instead of the missing sliding doors, making it very uncomfortable. The shower mixer had serious mixing problems: either too cold or too hot. Towels were not changed after the first day: we had to ask for replacement. The bed was not reset the next day. As cordial and kind as the lady was, I believe this alone is not enough to compensate for such shortcomings: the bathroom should be strongly revised by fixing the shower box and also the moving toilet seat.
The apartment building in the small town is modern, and the elevator is convenient. The host and her family are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the breakfast is only sweet items, and the shower water pressure is a bit low.
“Overall it was nice.”
Breakfast was good, location not so good, way off our direction. Location
The location is great for walking tours around the area. The shared kitchen and dining room are large and fully stocked. The town feels cozy, and we happened to be there on 6 September during the local harvest festival, which was packed with activities. Food options are plentiful. The neighborhood is quiet, with views of a volcano and a canyon, and the lack of sunshine on this side is a plus. The TV is positioned a bit too high.
