The breakfast was excellent, with an abundance of fruit that isn't common everywhere, and everything met our absolute satisfaction.

The place is in a great spot—far from crowds but close enough to walk to the subway or for dinner and drinks. It would have been nice to have a second suitcase rack since we were two people. Breakfast was fresh but the same limited items were offered every day.

The spot is perfect in northern Gion, near the subway and sights, giving a very authentic feel and the staff were helpful. The hotel arranged an evening show with a trainee geisha that was fantastic. We arrived late because of the long queues at Osaka immigration, but the hotel had someone ready to let us in, and the communication was almost instant. The location lets you see the sights early before the crowds show up. Nothing was wrong; everything was great.
